Video Transcript:
Hi, my name is David Bailey and this is Navigating Family Court.
Who is this channel for?
-
If one parent has stopped the other parent from seeing their child.
-
If both parents are seeing a child and there is a co-parenting toxic cycle that needs to be broken.
This platform is for you, and that’s who we’re here to help.
For parents who cannot afford a solicitor
If you cannot afford a solicitor, do not meet the thresholds, and are unable to get legal aid, we are going to show you how to navigate family court with simple step-by-step instructions.
Example: I’m currently working with parents who cannot get legal aid and cannot afford a solicitor. They do not know where to begin in getting to family court and have not seen their child for around 7 years.
This platform aims to help children have a relationship with both parents.
What will navigating family court cover?

Disclaimer
-
This is not legal advice.
-
I am not a solicitor or legal adviser.
-
This platform is based on personal experience, research, public information, and advice from professionals.

We have professionals working behind the scenes to ensure the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Recommendations
-
If you can afford a solicitor, I highly recommend having one represent you throughout your court proceedings. Court hearings are emotional, and a solicitor will handle the legal aspects professionally.
-
If you cannot afford a solicitor, that’s completely fine. You can still represent yourself effectively by understanding the process and preparing using the guidance provided here, especially before your first hearing.
